How to download and install Microsoft 365 apps on Mac, iPad or iPhone

Microsoft 365 subscriptions offer a wealth of utility, even for Apple users. If you use Apple products, here’s how to access and download Microsoft 365 apps.

Microsoft 365 subscriptions include a variety of powerful apps and services in one account. These benefits aren’t just for Windows users. Microsoft has developed standalone versions of many of its popular apps for iPad, iPhone, and Mac users. A suite of cloud-based editions is also available for subscribers using Apple technologies.

Microsoft, for example, offers the following iOS versions and iPad versions of its software, and services: Figure A:

Microsoft 365 apps are available in iOS and iPad-specific versions. These include Excel, Outlook OneDrive, Teams, and Outlook.

Apple’s App store allows Mac and iPad users with Microsoft 365 subscriptions to download and access these apps. Microsoft’s Microsoft Office (Editors Choice) app can be downloaded to iPad and iPhone. It contains Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more in one “app”. The Microsoft Office app allows iPad and iPhone users to create and sign PDF documents. Apple users can also download the Microsoft 365 Mobile Apps bundle from the Apple App Store. This bundle includes the Microsoft Office app bundle, OneDrive, Outlook, and OneNote in one app.

Microsoft offers many apps that can easily be installed on macOS machines.

Professionals with Microsoft 365 subscriptions or Macs can access and download the corresponding programs through Apple’s App store. Microsoft 365 offers a bundle of multiple programs in one app, similar to the iPad and iPhone. Microsoft 365 includes Word and Excel, PowerPoint as well as Outlook, OneNote & OneDrive.

You can access the Microsoft 365 apps and services via the internet using an iPad, iPhone, or Mac.

After professionals using Apple hardware log in to their Microsoft 365 accounts they can access individual apps and services by clicking the App Launcher icon at the top left corner or All Apps icon at the bottom left corner. Figure B.

Microsoft 365 subscriptions allow you to access and even download locally installed versions using iPads, iPhones, or Macs.

Another option for loading Microsoft 365 apps, depending on your Microsoft 365 account, is to use Install Office drop-down buttons in the top left corner. Figure B. Clicking on the button will open two options: install Office 365 applications including Outlook, OneDrive Word Excel PowerPoint and Word. Or, you can choose to install Other Install Options. In which case users can specify a different languages or individual apps that should be installed on the local machine.
